I contributed through both: attendance at many sessions to expand my expertise in sustainable urban ecology research; and an oral presentation titled “Optimization of ecosystem services and their relationship with landscape patterns in Shanghai, China” at session 19.

The 4th SURE World Conference profoundly enriched my academic perspective and professional development. Exposure to cutting-edge research in urban ecology revealed innovative approaches to global sustainability challenges, particularly in transitioning societies. The experience also significantly enhanced my cross-cultural communication skills and confidence in international academic settings. I established valuable connections with researchers and peers, fostering collaborative relationships that support future interdisciplinary projects. This opportunity has ignited a lasting commitment to SURE’s mission, and I look forward to actively contributing to future initiatives. My gratitude to SURE for enabling this amazing experience in Istanbul—an inspiration to advance sustainable urban ecosystems through global scholarship.
