SURE Sino-European Workshop in Istanbul (Türkiye) on July 14th-15th, 2025
On July 14th–15th, 2025, the “SURE Sino-European Workshop on Conservation and Perception of Urban Nature” was successfully held in Istanbul. The event was co-organized by: the Esenler Municipality of Istanbul; the Research Center of Territorial Spatial Planning under Ministry of Natural Resources (RCTSP) of China; the Department of Urban Planning, College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University of China; the Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Education, Türkiye; and the Society for Urban Ecology (SURE). Researchers, practitioners and policymakers from both China and Europe gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on the importance, targets, methods and cooperation of urban nature conservation and perception. The workshop also laid a solid intellectual foundation for the upcoming 4th SURE World Conference.
